Yeah, as.a baby boomer borned, raised and lived in Detroit during the 60's, 70's and 80's as a teenager/young adult, I remember seeing the motorcycle club hangouts. Yeah, memories.

I used to ride with the Zulus back in those days and once a year all clubs would get together and donate blood for kids

I worked with Highwaymen in the late 70's & early 80's. Their president, Leonard Moore worked at Star Tool & Die Works Inc at Michigan Ave. & 23rd St. in Detriot. Nice bunch of guys to play poker with while 'working'. Moore did 18 mos. of a 5 year sentence for pipe bombing another club's clubhouse because someone driving by was killed. When he returned to work the members of the UAW voted to give him back his seniority, which was expressly against the union's bylaws. The owner made him a foreman to keep other employees in line. I remember an evening when they were drag racing their bikes on 23rd and one went up on one wheel and lost control, running into the side of a car starting to pull out of the office parking lot. Since the rider was killed instantly, others had to get the driver of the car out of there or the bikers would have killed him, even though it wasn't his fault. Exciting times back then. You would call them the 'Good old Days', if you survived them. Obviously, i did.

Only 1% club in michigan I use to work doung drops for them Cleveland to Detroit 2or3 keys a month
